Physiology (200 hours)*this is a co-requisite to Anatomy

Physiology is the study of how the human body functions.

The class and its curriculum is an excellent introduction for those who have no previous knowledge or understanding of the human body. No previous science studies are required to take this course. It is designed to aid in the understanding and awareness of the human body and it's functions in relation to both Eastern and Western medicine, thus should be taken in conjunction with the Human Anatomy course.

 This course is one of Three Major Foundational Courses offered at the Shiatsu School of Canada and is ideal for those interested in continuing the studies in either the Shiatsu Therapy Diploma Program or Acupuncture Diploma Program

Cost:  $1090.00 (no gst); SSC Alumni can retake this course for half price($545.00 no gst)

Course Dates:
Term 1: September 11, 2008 to December 18, 2008: Thursdays, 8:30am to 12pm
Term 2: January 5, 2009 to March 26, 2009: Mondays, 1pm to 4:30pm & Thursdays, 8:30am to 12pm
Term 3: April 15, 2009 to June 26, 2009: Wednesdays, 8:30am to 12pm & Fridays, 8:30am to 12pm

About the instructor: Chai Lien Lee, Director of Bio-Medical Sciences

Chai Lien Lee is a foreign trained medical doctor. She graduated from the University of Bombay in India in 1976 with an MBBS (medical) degree. She completed a Master of Surgery degree in human anatomy in 1982.

Her 30 years of teaching experience includes teaching to students in medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and audio-speech therapy, as well as shiatsu and acupuncture.

Chai Lien Lee has been with our school for 14 years during which she has become a respected and valued instructor and mentor.
