Facial Acupressure and Massage (without needles) Workshop

[For shiatsu therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists or those trained in other modalities such as reflexology, thai massage, tuina...]  

In this one day workshop, Kate Kent Dipl. Ac., C.H. (NCCAOM) instructs students in a unique form of acupressure designed for the face. Using fingers instead of needles, students will learn to treat the face, neck and shoulders with the outcome being similar to the effects of cosmetic acupuncture - the release of toxins and tension from the skin, fine lines/wrinkles being minimized and an increase in the skin’s radiance.

Students will be trained in the intricacies of working with the face and have extensive practice time with the instructor and each other. Students will also be taught how to make and apply a mask that further helps the skin.

Bodywork professionals can incorporate this new skill into their treatments or offer as a stand-alone service to their clients.

Materials will be supplied.

About the Instructor:  Kate Kent, Dipl. Ac., C.H. (NCCAOM) trained in Canada and China . She holds diplomas in both acupuncture and herbs from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the U.S. She teaches at the Shiatsu School of Canada, and is also the Director of TCM and Acupuncture Programs. She has been interviewed numerous times on TV and radio, given talks, written many articles and a book on Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has been in private practice in Toronto since 1985.

Cost: $150.00* (plus gst)

Course Date: Saturday September 15 10am to 6pm

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations on or before two weeks prior to the course start date will result in a $35 cancellation fee. Cancellations after that date will not receive a refund.

A letter of attendance will be issued at the end of this course.
