Student Representatives

Each class votes two students to represent the class.  The main purpose of this is to allow students to exercise their voice in a matter pertaining to any aspect of life at the SSC, policies and procedures, ethics, professionalism and behaviour.  The Student Representatives act as liaisons between the student body and the SSC administration and faculties.  We encourage and support communication among students, faculty, and administration.  Regular meetings are held each term as well as when particular issues arise.  The student representative remains neutral and objective when dealing with student concerns.  They also help to organize school events and end of term/year parties.

Referral Services
The SSC provides a referral service to our graduates.  In addition, the SSC receives many calls from around the country from individuals seeking referrals to a shiatsu therapist.  Our graduate registry, in electronic form on the Internet, allows easy and quick referrals.  Our graduate database is continually updated.

Near each classroom a student lounge/tearoom is available for students to have lunch and other refreshments.  A sink, refrigerator, microwave oven and other conveniences are available for those who wish to bring their lunch or enjoy a quiet cup of tea or coffee.
