hour diploma program in shiatsu therapy and the graduates acupuncture program. We are proud to present this registry of
our graduates and we hope that your shiatsu or acupuncture experience is a
positive one. We recommend that you choose your therapist with care.
The school does not endorse any one graduate therapist listed in this
registry. SSC has published this information so that the public can locate
our graduates.

kept up to date on a regular basis.
Professional Qualifications
of SSC Shiatsu Therapists
Graduates of the shiatsu diploma program of
the Shiatsu School of Canada Inc. have completed 2,200 hours of training in
shiatsu therapy. The two-year program includes courses in Western human
anatomy, physiology, pathology, nutrition, and public health; courses in Eastern
medical theory, shiatsu theory, shiatsu practice, shiatsu treatment; ethics and
jurisprudence, business, communications, self-care and auxiliary modalities; and
extensive practical experience in the Student Clinic.
All shiatsu graduates in this registry are legally
entitled to use the designation, Dipl.S.T.®
(Dipl.S.T. is a registered trademark
of the school). The designation is your assurance as a consumer that you
are receiving a shiatsu treatment from a therapist who has completed the 2,200
hour diploma program - the most extensive shiatsu training program in Canada.

Professional Qualifications of SSC Acupuncture Therapists
Graduates of the
Acupuncture at the SSC Acupuncture Institute, division of the
Shiatsu School of Canada Inc. have completed between 450 and 1900 hours of training
depending on the graduation year. The programs include courses in point location and indication, meridian theory, advanced and
differential diagnosis, needling and other techniques, Japanese acupuncture and
moxabustion, and a clinical practicum. In addition, each graduate has
completed basic studies in Eastern medical theory and studies in Western anatomy, physiology and
pathology.
