Combined Diploma: Shiatsu Therapy & Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Shiatsu Therapy Combined Diploma Programs
completed in approximately 3.5 years

Acupuncture is a modality of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that is increasing in popularity in
Western culture due to its effectiveness on both acute and chronic health conditions and specifically
in Ontario due to the recent passing of legislation that will regulate TCM and Acupuncture under
a new regulatory body - The College of TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.

Shiatsu therapy is a form of body work originating in Japan and is based on Traditional
Chinese medical (TCM) practices. The shiatsu therapy portion of the program offers students
a comprehensive curriculum from both an Eastern and a Western perspective with extensive
hands-on experience.

This program might be right for you if…
-you want to work alongside other regulated healthcare professionals

-you are looking for a career in the healthcare field that is both challenging and rewarding

-you recognize the value of alternative and complementary viewpoints in healthcare and health
 maintenance

-you are looking to learn therapies that complement each other to enhance client care

-you want to complete your shiatsu and acupuncture diplomas in under three years

-you would like to start your practice while you continue to study

-you are capable of a heavy academic course load

September to June for two years.
Starting in year two, the schedule will include evening and weekend classes. After the second year,
