Alumni Guild
The SSC provides graduates
with the opportunity to participate in continuing education seminars at a reduced rate.  Library privileges are available to graduates free of charge.  Alumni are eligible for a number of "perks".

Discounted Rates ON Treatments AND SEMINARS
Students are entitled to a discounted rate for treatments in the Shiatsu and Acupuncture Student Clinics.

Library
The Shiatsu School of Canada has an extensive library of key texts, magazines and articles on shiatsu, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, anatomy, physiology, pathology, nutrition and other subjects relating to health and well-being.

Lockers
Lockers are available for students to store their uniforms, books, etc.

Lost and Found
The SSC maintains a lost and found.

Parking
The SSC maintains no parking facilities, but parking is available in both public and private lots nearby as well as side streets.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES
Each class votes in two students to represent the class. The main purpose of this is to allow students to exercise their voice in a matter pertaining to any aspect of life at the SSC, policies and procedures, ethics, professionalism and behaviour. The Student Representatives act as liaisons between the student body and the SSC Acupuncture Institute administration and faculty.

We encourage and support communication among students, faculty, and administration. Regular meetings are held each term as well as when particular issues arise. The student representative remains neutral and objective when dealing with student concerns. They also help to organize school events and end of term/year parties.

REFERRAL SERVICES
The SSC Acupuncture Institute provides a referral service to our graduates.  In addition, the SSC receives many calls from around the country from individuals seeking, referrals to shiatsu and acupuncture therapists.  Our graduate registry, in electronic form on the Internet, allows easy and quick referrals.  Our graduate database is continually updated.

Student Lounge/Tea room
Near each classroom a student lounge/tearoom is available for students to have lunch and other refreshments.  A refrigerator, microwave oven and other conveniences are available for those who wish to bring their lunch or enjoy a quiet cup of tea or coffee.

Administrative Staff

The SSC team has many years of experience in education, administration, promotions and the development of the healing art of shiatsu.
