Acupuncture teaching clinic opens with tremendous success

Even after 10 years of teaching acupuncture, we are always excited to see our students in the clinic environment. At the end of September the newest group of acupuncture students began the extensive clinic portion of their 3 years of training.

The first portion of the teaching clinic had clients receiving treatments from the instructors with students observing and assisting with treatment plans. The current portion of the teaching clinic will have the students performing the treatments in a supervised environment. Conditions that can be helped by acupuncture include but are not limited to:

  • Sciatica

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Asthma

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • PMS

  • Other acute and chronic conditions

Each student is required to complete 350 hours of clinic with many going on to complete an additional 300 hours of advanced clinic. With this level of hands-on training coupled with the theory and business training, students are prepared to be exceptional therapists and practitioners.

Interested in receiving a treatment? We are currently booking clients for Thursday evenings and Sundays from now until the middle of December and will add Monday evenings in January.

Treatments are $20 each (plus gst).
Special Offer: 5 treatments for ($90 plus gst)

Hot Stone Massage Season Has Arrived!

What could be better than the relaxing and therapeutic feeling of a hot stone massage? Not much as the cold weather takes hold and winter becomes more of a reality. Hot stone massage is the application of water-heated basalt stones of varying sizes various to points on the body. It is an extremely relaxing and therapeutic treatment that can help you to release the stress built up in your body.

While encouraging the blood circulation throughout the body, the properly placed stones can act to regulate the body’s natural energy resulting in a calming of the nervous system and relief from stiff muscles and pain. This type of therapy is especially well suited for people who are sensitive to hard pressure and those living with conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis, insomnia and poor circulation.
